So I asked my @TownAI agent to do it. It collated all the insights + made the deck
oh no my instinct @muse and @TownAI are having a turf war whenever a new email appears
Very nice and appreciated @TownAI feature – a credit usage optimiser!
Town AI offers an autonomous personal assistant feature that acts as a digital worker—learning your habits to manage schedules, draft emails, and handle routine workflows across your entire tech stack.
and then, it's even more insane how incredible just chatting with a Townie, who can do all the things for you, feels.
Enable your Townie to traverse 5,000+ @synorb streams before you wake up, on-demand or in ad-hoc workflows
Regarding @TownAI so much opportunity but it is not proactive enough outside of email.
The individual onboarding experience was magical but being able to bring in your team, work, and firm quickly built roots that I would argue are too painful to rip out.
@jgreze is building something awesome w @TownAI, great episode
Been an absolute game changer for my personal work- I’ve got my own assistant now prepping me for a day in the stock market, responding to emails, and learning how I like to work.
I also have @TownAI and Instinct @noahrshinn accounts that I don't see myself using much anymore.
Apply now to join us:
Guy used to move all our money around the internet at Plaid. 11/10 trustworthy
this is a well thought out product, and well executed launch.
Cal ( my townie ) is going to fetch the uber for me.
they are seeing a bunch of families onboard but tbh could be way better served
Still bullish on:
Love the onboarding experience from @TownAI
We've got a lot of nice things coming your way at @TownAI over the coming week or two!
I’m on @TownAI and I’m loving it.
P.S. @TownAI was founded in 2024
Instead of stating unverified facts like "Your CTO, Jim", say "Who's your CTO? My agent says it's Jim"
You stop thinking about "using AI" and start thinking about handing something off.
Right now, though, it’s closer to a handy shortcut than a full assistant.
i'd also love to be able to set a default mode - eg do 99% of my tasks on always allow & on iOS app it's a pain bc the keyboard obscures the toggle.
Having a lot of fun adding @TownAI to group chats. It responds pretty quickly and is holding its own with my friends trying to turn it against me.
The town setup was way better, and the integrations were super easy.
But also the team noticed your tweet first which is even better!
You're right on both the toggles, the need to find them on the first place, and also not being able to email support@. Consider it all done.
The ultimate in support responsiveness! Love it when founder CEOs are hands on like this
and then not sending the email itself. This is intern behavior which may have been ok 9 months ago but newer
they are both excellent.
I have been completely obsessed with Town - find me in the ambassadors channel :)
have been using both and town blows instinct out of the water on everything:
likely doing things like placing Doordash orders
when your Townie accidentally doubles as a life coach
Spend the $4B, scoop it up with all its hungry users and data points, and you’re right there in the AI game, Apple
They definitely will want a cut somehow
The whole Messages platform isn't built for this - I think @Apple @Meta will adapt the TOS pretty quickly and look to monetize.
I bet @johnternus moves fast here and Apple builds it into iMessage really fast.
Most of the iMessage-only play aren’t just consumer-centric; they’re also a VC strategy to position companies for big acquisitions by giants
Or just buy the dang thing
Perfect “hello” moment for @johnternus
Agreed, we are also giving for Superagent (base44) users a way to connect via WhatsApp and iMessage, but nothing like controlling the experience end to end
Does this work on WhatsApp also?
wait is town sort of like grok bot? as in you can have multiple agents? instinct is great but it’s just one lol
Town has mobile and desktop apps that are very feature-rich...
the group chat changes the trust model. now the assistant has to know who is allowed to ask it to do what before anyone hands it a browser
I love that I don’t have to DL yet another app
this is tame compared to what ensued shortly after 💀
I actually hadn't considered all the ways the group chat could go bad
Yes the email labeling comes with the Auto-inbox routine, but you can turn it off or adjust how you'd like your emails labeled at anytime
my townie needed a pfp refresh.
Very cool to finally see this come to life. The @TownAI team has been grinding on it for a while, and has been impressively thoughtful in their execution.
Starting today, you can add your Townie to a group text, and they can handle things with your coworkers, friends, and family—and their Townies
This. I've been waiting for this. Having my Townie respond on my behalf means I can stay engaged with what I am doing - and not slow anyone on my team down.
Last night my Townie caught a mistake my husband made when he was trying to schedule something for us and proactively flagged it and suggested a solution. You love to see it.
Now I use Mimestream and have my @TownAI agent draft emails and organize inbox (among many other things)
When your new @TownAI group chat with your wife reveals that she trusts your Townie with the kid's after-school schedule more than you
if you are in a group chat, they have name tags for each message! for individual townie you will get different numbers!
Big News: You can now introduce your Townie to your people (and their Townies too) Add them to your group texts, and they can go get it done in their own browser.
I'm really loving @TownAI 's assistant AI
oh wow townie group text is very cool - congrats on the launch!
Only @TownAI allowed to see my inbox
Bringing AI into the group text thread is a huge milestone for agentic interaction.
Multiplayer AI is such a massive step forward for agentic workflows.
It tells you. Also not every Townie has the same number :)
after I connected my Gmail with you guys did you go into my settings and turned tagging on?
Multiply player is important!
Congrats on the launch!
I'm the guy coming from out of nowhere, way late waiting for the Town vs Instinct review
Multiplayer is hard to do well, but the team @TownAI has been incredibly thoughtful in their execution.
Since Townie has the same number, what is a good way to tell whose Townie is texting?
How well do Townies maintain context across a long group thread, especially when people change their minds or have conflicting preferences?
town has entered the chat, congrats team!
Almost 2 weeks in at @TownAI and am having so much fun.
give your favorite agent read/write access like @TownAI
use @TownAI or another agent to handle inbox organization and email drafting
@reactiverobot @TownAI break down compared to hermes or grok bot?
yes please optimize my dumb routines for me!
Town is a leage of its own
@TownAI is like drinking with vietnamese coffee sprinkled with crack cocaine.
Choose Pally if you want one assistant inside your personal messages and daily life. Choose Town if you want one assistant learning and operating across your work.
building @TownAI is too fun
daily digests can be very useful and @TownAI is the best at it.
They prepare me for what is next. Tell me what I should be working on.
congrats to my friends at @TownAI!
Command-K is your best friend!
I love how the intro to @TownAI on Platformer states they work 5 days a week in SF.
Casey Newton is using it for his newsletter biz, just had the @TownAI CEO on his pod to talk about it
I asked my townie to monitor a couple of email threads and alert me when I get a response.
I had a version of this w openclaw — but now can just recommend @TownAI !
I had my closest moment to true magic and ambient AI last evening when I integrated @PLAUDAI to @TownAI.
I’m currently the Midwest and am unintentionally converting non-tech people to Town every day
Sounds good! And soon text/imessage should be a delivery channel too
Also, we have a couple of things coming out in the coming weeks that will be great for parents and school use cases!
I love it so much. I *think* the thing I need most is push notifications from the app.
Busy parents is a core ICP for us. What can we do to make it better?
Agent Hour Episode 003 is LIVE with my new friend @jgreze.
love to hear it
Moms, dads all of us need @TownAI to survive the onslaught of school emails and WhatsApp groups. Only feature request: more ability to go back into WhatsApp groups and read/summarize.
The @TownAI app is going viral across all my mom group chats as the school year kicks off.
Calendar + email is exactly where shared-tenant tools make me nervous.
All of these products are great but none actually does a single end to end job for any of us and you have to use 1000 things to get that job done
When my Townie notices the other side's AI getting timezones wrong: "The invite is showing a 12:15am-1am PT slot -- looks like a timezone glitch, since we'd landed on 12:15-1pm PT. Mind confirming the time and resending?"
+1 to @TownAI - it has text capabilities
Convex runs on Town
Yes I consider Town a similar product
also true that Instinct (and @TownAI, which VCs have also hyped), are a real step up from the lab agent assistant offerings
I'm far from a perfect dad, but my @TownAI Townie does help me as a parent. It already knows my family and is connected to the tools we run on (inboxes, calendars, ClassDojo, medication order history, etc.), so the guidance is specific and action-oriented.
Wild. People stacking it against @TownAI, where CEO @jgreze was formerly CTO of Plaid, in charge of successfully moving all the money around the internet
Did you ever get a chance to try @TownAI?
Trying to put my @TownAI agent into this device…
Just need it to help coordinate pints with my boys next
Use Instinct for personal, Town for professional
I’ve been a heavy town user for a few months, using bot from last week, and started on instinct yesterday.
I use both and prefer Instinct for my personal life and Town for my worklife!
Anyone use both Instinct and @TownAI ? Advantages/Disadvantages of each?
i love it too! the app told me no more referral codes are going out for now? my past ones no longer work!
big issue with instinct vs eg @TownAI or my own setups is that they haven't actually set up persistent memory, skills, routines, etc. properly.
lovely morning w/ @townai !!!
Having my AI assistant finding my tee time might be my favorite use case for Text Town
Yep! Improving every day. If you have feedback I’m all 👂
Oh nice!! Was not aware anyone had tried this model yet but makes a ton of sense to me, cool to hear that’s what you do!
This is our goal at @TownAI — it should just start suggesting/doing work for you (and not charge you for that piece).
However, I think they have nailed computer use which is the hidden gem here.
Whispr + @TownAI have given me back 2 hours in my day!
once their investors posted a lot of their use cases, I knew I had to try it
Did you get to @TownAI on your own / through network
I definitely love reading about myself!
We love lowkey obsessed!
I’ve been impressed with my Townie, but this is a new level.
a routine i did blew through my credits in like 1 day
So far I’m a fan of @TownAI.
this is great feedback!! thanks Louis!
Just started getting emails from them about it this week. Likely a new feature
does a great job prepping meetings, automatically drafting emails and optimizing my day
Self improving ai’s are very cool
@TownAI sends an email pointing out routines that are using an inordinate amount of credits. You click a link, and it opens a chat with Townie to automatically optimize.
It looks exactly like town, which I tried @TownAI . Probably one of the best assistants I think I used.
@jgreze & the @TownAI team get it.
I haven't tried it for myself yet, no—seen a friend use it though! I'll find time to try it
Honestly the best charge on that entire card. We love Town (and the hotel costume).
AI Agents are actually really good at sending detailed and consistent calendar invite titles with strong notes on the invite.
Who else raised $10M+ in individual AI
I just made my first Townie and named him Ronnie.
I love the experience so far and onboarding was super smooth.
even my ai knows my husband is a manchild @TownAI
I used @TownAI and I’m blown by how good it is!! 3xed my productivity already. Doesn’t hallucinate, always gives actionable insights.
Also credit to @TownAI for surfacing the Fatty Natty pizza pop up through my reservations workflow!
I was literally emailing my town agent when I saw this!
I felt like if I didn't become a founder now, I don't know if I ever would.
What interests me most isn't the $55M Series A, but the willingness to walk away from a business that was already making money and start from zero again.
You can just ask the assistant to do something in the future and it will.
Who put you on to town
This is basically why I joined @TownAI this week
thank you so much, glad you liked it!
compared to Superhuman (more proactive - similar to the excellent experience I've been having with @TownAI )
Excited to have Jean-Denis Grèze @jgreze, Co-Founder and CEO at @TownAI speaking at Abstract conf by Convex.
This was a great convo!!
One of my favorite founders @jgreze of @TownAI
(I love my townie)
This is part of our mission at @TownAI !
But @TownAI, this IS the bot I was looking for.
I have not opened a single email they have sent for a catchup brief (except 1 which I did not like) and they keep sending it.
truly is one of those magical products. haven't felt delight like this in SO long!!
So far @TownAI and Poke are sticking here.
the first one that genuinely runs my day instead of just chatting about it
Town bills by credits with pay-as-you-go overage
the Mac app was kinda buggy for document editing
Town is a credible AI work assistant, not a dressed-up chatbot.
One of my new favorite AI tools is @TownAI . It sweeps my emails, drafts responses, does morning briefing, calendaring, and so much more!
If your work lives across Slack, project management tools, and CRM systems, the email-first model may add friction instead of cutting it.
The first time I used @TownAI , I realized that Town was my iPhone moment for AI.
It's the first one that actually works and has become my daily driver.
Highly recommend and we have full confidence in @jgreze and team on enterprise security and compliance!
