Most trustworthy AI assistant with your data

Which assistant can I trust with my accounts and personal data?

Updated · 26 assistants ranked

An assistant that books and buys for you needs your email, calendar and cards. This report ranks assistants on the two tests about trust: whether they ask only for what they need, keep to your rules and let go when you disconnect, and whether they let you see and delete what they remember.

How this report works

Assistants are ranked by their average across the Permissions & privacy and Memory tests; only those tested on both are included. Product facts, such as training on your chats, come from each product's own policy and are shown on its page, not scored.

How to choose

  • Read the product facts on each assistant's page: whether it trains on your chats by default and whether memory can be turned off.
  • Start with read-only access where it's offered, and widen it only for the tasks you need.
  • Test the disconnect yourself: after you remove its access, ask what it can still see.

What users say

Instinct · Zoë Schiffer ·

Last week it told me 'NOT TO OPEN' an email from a friend inviting me to a backyard BBQ—it turned out to be a phishing scam.

People have reported that when they tried to disconnect the agent from their email, they found out it was retaining a copy of their inboxes anyway.

Town · @SaaShane_ ·

Been an absolute game changer for my personal work- I’ve got my own assistant now prepping me for a day in the stock market, responding to emails, and learning how I like to work.

i'd also love to be able to set a default mode - eg do 99% of my tasks on always allow & on iOS app it's a pain bc the keyboard obscures the toggle.
